Jackson is 2!!

We celebrated his birthday 3 times this year!! Sunday we went to my ILs house and they had lasagna for him and watermelon. Then he opened his gift from them, a Diego tricycle!

Wednesday, his actual birthday, my parents stopped by with two of his cousins and gave them his gift from them, a Diego backpack and chair and a new swing set. My dad and husband put the swing set up and then surprised Jackson with it that night. He loves his new swing and I think I might have the only 2 year old with 3 slides now in his back yard!

Saturday was his baseball party!! We made all the kids team jerseys and hats and let them play t-ball and then play on the Diego Rescue Center. Jackson and his friend Nicholas, also 2, even went down the zip line by themselves. It was a great day and Jackson had a lot of fun. He was so tired he fell asleep holding his big baseball on the way home and now at 9am is still sleeping!

Cars Tot-Book

This morning I saw a link that a friend posted about Tot-Books and thought it was a great idea to make for Jackson. I was going to wait and make them during the appropriate week based on the theme but curiosity got the best of me. The color printer is down so I printed them in black and white and while Jackson was napping colored them and then made a book for him. I didn't have a file folder so I used construction paper and next time I make one I will laminate it so that it lasts longer. I am sure that it will be torn up very soon.

Here are pictures from Jackson seeing his book for the first time after his nap. After playing with it for about 10 minutes he wanted to watch the movie Cars.

We have school supplies!!

This morning as soon as Jackson woke up we went to Wal-mart and bought his school supplies for the next year. We have plenty of crayons, paint, paper and markers now. Jackson was very excited to help me pick out his notebook and stickers. I am hoping he will be just as excited in September when we start to use all of these supplies.

I still would like to buy some more puzzles for him and play-doh but will have to wait a little bit for those things.
